В кратце о событии.
April 24 saw the start of the 5th Warsaw Festival of Art Photography. The festival includes exhibitions, meetings and lectures, and a competition for Polish artists aged up to 35, the results of which were announced on March 9. This is the third time that the festival has an international flavor; this year it has been organized in association with art schools from the Czech Republic.

Teachers and photographers affiliated to the Institute of Creative Photography at the Silesian University in Opava will take part in a seminar on Czech photography.

Polish work on show includes themed, group and individual exhibitions by both established and debuting artists, for example photographs by Zdzisław Beksiński, the “anti-photographs” of Andrzej Różycki, sentimental landscapes by Stanisław Woś and stereoscopic documentary pictures by Chris Niedenthal.

The post-festival exhibition, open until May 19, will feature photographs by young Polish artists that were awarded prizes by the international jury.
